WELCOME TO SAVU SAUNA

Savu is the creation of Ian & James, two brother’s who decided to self build their very own Finnish inspired, traditional wood-fired sauna.

The original Sauna was named "savu" (which means smoke in Finnish). It is believed that the word Sauna derives from the term savuna, which literally translates to "in smoke”. Given we have built an authentic sauna, equipped with a traditional handcrafted IKI wood burning stove, it felt apt to choose a name that has meaning. The name Savu is rooted in its traditional Finnish sauna heritage.

Savu is a place to connect…

“Our community sauna sessions offer a unique, shared experience, where people can come together to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate in the healing warmth of our sauna. Our cold shower and cold plunges also offer people the chance to reap the benefits of contrast therapy. There is so much positive research on hot and cold exposure, in a safe and controlled environment”

Rooted in tradition and wellness, Savu provides a peaceful environment designed to foster mindfulness, health and a sense of community. Savu’s mission is to bring people from all walks of life together, in a beautifully curated space that encourages conversation, reflection and relaxation.

“Sauna culture isn’t as familiar here in the UK, as it is some other countries. We want to change that and promote the plethora of mental and physical benefits that come from regular hot and cold exposure”
